John Tobias Young is an artist whose precise identification has confused art historians. The artist is probably the same as a J. T. Young and Tobias P. Young. The former was an ‘Honorary Exhibitor’ (that is, an amateur) at the Royal Academy exhibitions from 1811 to 1822.
